Mt. Haguro

We biked out to Mt. Haguro this weekend and then climbed it. The mountain is not very tall (only about 400 meters) but the climb up is essentially a very steep set of stairs (built by monks 1000 years ago or so). It was AMAZING, but awfully sweaty. There is a large 5 story pagoda at the base, and a very large Shinto Shrine at the top. The whole thing is beautiful and I'm afraid my pictures do not do it justice. But, I tried.
