eBook Formatting

Important Note: Formatting services are NOT editing services and formatting should only be done after all editing is complete. It is the final step before publication. The files that Virginia prepares for you are the files you will upload to your publishing platform and they are not easily edited once they are prepared. Please make sure that your manuscript has been professionally edited before sending it to Virginia for formatting.

Basic ebook formatting is the simplest formatting you can get. Virginia will take your book text and turn it into a professionally formatted ebook that meets all industry standards, fits your genre, and will present a pleasing, reader friendly experience to your ebook readers. see .mobi samples see .epub samples ($75 for ebook only $195 for ebook and print combined)

Custom Basic ebook formatting allows you to make some style choices rather than leaving it all up to Virginia. You can select title and chapter fonts from the fonts that Virginia already has access to, or send along a font for which you have commercial use rights and Virginia will use that in your ebook headers. In addition, Virginia will place up to five images that you have provided into the text. ($125 for ebook only $345 for ebook and print combined)

Custom Advanced ebook formatting allows you to not only select fonts, and add up to 10 images that you provide, but also includes custom design elements tailored just to your book. This can include fleurons, chapter headings, title page design, and other work. ($225 for ebook only $615 for ebook and print combined)

Print Formatting

Basic print formatting is the simplest formatting you can get. Virginia will take your book text and fit it into a simple template with a few options in terms of fonts and text sizes. This option is for authors who do not feel comfortable with computers and would be unable to use a template themselves. (If you feel confident using a template that you can find on the internet yourself you should either consider a custom option if you'd like something fancier or just go ahead and do one yourself!) ($150 for print only $195 for print and ebook combined)

Custom Basic print formatting allows for a little more stylistic variety. Instead of a simple choice of fonts that Virginia already has access to, you can send Virginia a font for which you have commercial use rights and she can include it in the formatting. In addition, if you have a large number of section headings or chapter breaks or up to five images you'd like to use in the book this is the level you should choose. ($250 for print only $345 for print and ebook combined)

Custom Advanced formatting is for folks who want a formatting design that is custom made just for their book. The fonts and breaks will suit the style of your book precisely, and Virginia will work with you over multiple revisions (a max of three revisions once the main elements have been chosen) to get all the details right. Also, if your book has more than the average number of chapter or section breaks, or if it is heavy on images (up to 10), this is the formatting choice you want. ($450 for print only $615 for print and ebook combined)
